“Apple at a Propelled Stage to Take Over Intel 5G Modem Division”
Apple is said to be in talks with Intel to take over the smartphone-focused fashion division.
The acquisition would give Apple access to the technology and knowledge of the smartphone modem division that has been working on 5G technology for some time. This would make it easier for Apple to develop and produce parts for iPhones.
As indicated by reports, the arrangement is required to shut in the coming week. Intel would thereby stop developing network technology for smartphones. However, the chipmaker is still developing network components for other devices.
Apple was already in talks with Intel about a possible acquisition. In April there were reports that the negotiations were broken because Apple had signed a deal with competitor Qualcomm.
