Democrats go to Question Controversial Tax Return, Trump
The Democratic party in the United States is trying to force President Donald Trump to make his tax returns public.
Bill Pascrell, the Democratic spokesperson for the committee that is discussing this, announced this intention. The request will be submitted within two weeks.
Pascrell has been trying to get access to the president’s tax documents for two years. But this has not worked so far, because the Republican majority in the House had stopped this application. Since the November interim elections, the Democrats have the majority in this part of Congress.
A request for access to Trump’s tax documents must be submitted to the Ministry of Finance. It is expected that Minister Steven Mnuchin will still reject the question from the House of Representatives. In that case, the Democrats can go to court.
