Your stress response creates a chemical cocktail of endorphins, adrenaline, testosterone and dopamine. The result: your motivation goes up. You are more inclined to trust and help people you care about.

Scientific research shows that those who have experienced many stressful events in the past often consider their lives to be more meaningful. Stress is connected with the pursuit of the things that nourish your life’s purpose. Just look at it: the greatest sources of stress often work, parenting, personal relationships or caring for someone. But those are just the things that give meaning to your life. And although we often want a little more peace in our lives, we are happier when we are busy. Even when we have to do more than we actually want.
