Emergency Measures for Hospitals in Paris Due to Increasing in Corona Patients
Hospitals in and around Paris are taking emergency measures due to the influx of corona patients. Employee leave will be cancelled, and non-emergency operations will be cancelled.
The French authorities have already reported a record number of new infections. They registered nearly 19,000 corona cases in one day.
The chief of the health department of the capital region of Île-de-France said on Twitter that he had asked medical institutions to activate their emergency plans and prepare for the coming days.
Earlier this week, he raised the alarm about the growing number of corona patients in intensive care units.
Cafés in the capital had to close their doors this week to prevent the spread of the virus.
Restaurants may remain open, but there are strict rules. President Emmanuel Macron emphasized that the virus is spreading faster again. He promised more measures.
