World Figure Skating Championships in Montreal cancelled due to coronavirus

0 0

The international skating union ISU has had to cancel the World Figure Skating Championships in Montreal because of the coronavirus. This was ordered by the Canadian authorities. The world title battle would take place next week (March 16-22). On behalf of the Netherlands, Niki Worries and the duo Daria Danilova / Michel Tsiba would participate in Canada.

The Netherlands had sent a few to the World Figure Skating Championships, and it was the first time in history. The 23-year-old Worries already participated in the World Cup twice before. She has lived and trained in Montreal for several years.

The World Cup short track in Seoul (March 13-15) had to cancel the ISU at the end of last month for the same reason.
